Sterling Silver Pendant inspired by netting. Made by piercing and forming.

Kitty Nix is currently a 2nd year MFA candidate in SDSU’s Jewelry + Metals program, and received their BFA in Jewelry + Metals and Sculpture from Winthrop University. Kitty is drawn to repetition and systems in forms and processes, and has explored this most recently in plastic nets and meshes. Stemming from an interest in the formal qualities of the material, their work has moved on to consider the implications of the artificial making its way into the day-to-day, and how it relates to the personal consumption of materials/resources, and creation of mimetic environments.
